According to sources close to Tom Henderson, despite canceling two unannounced projects , development team Techland is still working on a new version of the Call of Juarez series, which was last released in 2013 by Ubisoft before the rights to the title were reacquired by Techland in 2018.
The cancellation of the two projects did not result in any layoffs, and the staff working on these projects have been redeployed to projects still in development. The team is currently focused on the release of Dying Light: The Beast next August.
