New reports indicate that approximately 300 employees at Build A Rocket Boy received internal emails informing them that their jobs were under threat following the troubled launch of MindsEye. The emails also included employees at PlayFusion, which the company acquired in 2024, amid concerns about the future of ongoing projects.
In an internal video call, CEO Leslie Benzies confirmed that the studio plans to relaunch the game, stating that the problems MindsEye encountered were due to “internal and external saboteurs.” These statements sparked widespread controversy, especially given the ongoing updates to try to salvage the game, which continues to suffer from negative reviews and a low player base.
