Amid the wave of layoffs affecting Xbox Studios, Polish developer CDPR, the creator of The Witcher and Cyberpunk, announced a humanitarian initiative to support affected developers by offering job opportunities within the development teams for The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2. This initiative has been widely welcomed within the gaming community, especially given the deteriorating working conditions at several companies.
Pawel Sasko, assistant director of Cyberpunk 2, shared official recruitment links, noting that the application process is open to affected talent, particularly in Poland, Canada, and the United States. While he acknowledged the difficulty of accommodating all applicants, the studio believes in the importance of supporting the developer community during these difficult times. This move comes as The Witcher 4 enters full production, while Cyberpunk 2 prepares to move into extended development.
