Media reports: Tension within Halo Studios due to the deteriorating quality of upcoming projects.

New reports from   Engadget reveal that the atmosphere inside Halo Studios is currently tense, even before the recent layoffs in Microsoft’s gaming division (Xbox).

A number of developers have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of current projects, most notably the Halo: Combat Evolved remake. This comes amid a wave of layoffs at Microsoft that has impacted development teams, including the narrative and campaign teams.

One developer stated that the project has been “in crisis lately,” and that the team is struggling to maintain enthusiasm amid internal pressure. The project is expected to be officially unveiled during the Halo World Championship in October, but doubts surround its ability to meet player expectations.
