The Outer Worlds 2 will not allow for skill redistribution and diversification of character builds.


The Outer Worlds 2 director Brandon Adler has revealed that the game will completely abandon the respec feature after the initial stages of play. This decision is intended to enhance the sense that every character choice has weight and real impact on the experience.

The team believes this approach fosters a fully immersive experience, where player choices become an integral part of the character’s identity within the world. There will be a small margin for experimentation at first, but once you get past that, your decisions become fixed and final throughout the journey.
