Mario Kart World returns to the top of the UK game sales charts, while Donkey Kong Bananza falls to second place.


The UK gaming market saw healthy growth in 2023 as store sales continued to decline.
UKIE/GSD, the UK sales tracking agency, today released its weekly sales list for the UK market. The results for the games sales were as follows:

After a week in which it dropped to second place, the racing game Mario Kart World has returned to the top of the UK game sales charts. This is the sixth week that the game has topped the sales charts since its release. Donkey Kong Bananza, which topped the charts last week upon its release, has dropped to second place, despite a strong performance.

Super Mario Party Jamboree climbs the list with the release of its Switch 2 version, while this week’s other new release, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, enters the list at number nine, with 95% of its sales coming from PlayStation 5, no doubt due to its Game Pass availability:
