Yesterday, EA officially announced the cancellation of its Black Panther action game, based on the Marvel superhero character, and the closure of the development team behind the game, Cliffhanger Studios.
Bloomberg News obtained information regarding the reason for the cancellation of the game, which had been in development for four years in the pre-production stage, and included a number of superheroes and used the Nemesis System. The game, unfortunately, was very slow in development and spent many years in the very early stages of production without any noticeable progress. According to the report, the development team, Cliffhanger Studios, was still in the hiring phase during the project’s work, and even after its cancellation, employees had just been added to the team. EA, through reviewing its projects currently in development, decided that it was best to cancel this project.
