When we talk about Xbox right now, the message may not seem clear to everyone. The recently announced ROG Xbox Ally devices will be designed for PC and game transfer, but what about home Xbox devices?
There’s been some debate about the upcoming Xbox console. Some believe it will be Windows-based and therefore a PC-based console that will face the same fate as the ROG Xbox Ally, supporting Xbox games on PCs and not consoles unless Microsoft finds a solution. Microsoft insider Jez Corden, who is close to Microsoft, said in his recent podcast that he is 99% or 100% confident the upcoming console will be backward compatible with previous consoles and the console itself.
The device will not require emulators to run previous games, and he understands the reason for this controversy, as Microsoft has previously broken its promises and consumers no longer trust it.
