The budget for the new James Bond game is greater than the combined budget of the Hitman trilogy.

IO Interactive has revealed that 007 First Light will receive long-term support with a budget exceeding $200 million, making it the largest project in the studio’s history. According to CEO Hakan Abrak, the game’s development cost exceeds the combined budgets of the entire Hitman series, reflecting a significant ambition to deliver a cinematic experience and a long-term service.

The game will follow a single-player model similar to the Hitman series, focusing on providing fresh content and an immersive experience for fans of the secret agent. Scheduled for release in 2026, 007 First Light represents a complete reimagining of the James Bond universe, featuring a young hero on his first mission.
