During a new interview with industry icon Hideo Kojima, the renowned director was asked about his career and when he would pass the torch to the next person, and Kojima’s answer was that he would not!
Kojima has stated that he might extinguish that flame or break the banner rather than hand it over to someone else. He believes that if he asked his developers to develop games in the same way he does, the team would not succeed and would close its doors. He does not want the team to imitate him, but rather wants to inspire developers to follow their own path.
