Alinea Analytics: Final Fantasy XVI sold 22,000 copies on Xbox Series X.

The idea of exclusives is fading, according to the producer of Final Fantasy XVI.

Xbox fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the release of Final Fantasy XVI on their favorite console, according to research firm Alinea Analytics. The sixteenth installment in Square Enix’s role-playing series, which was surprisingly released last week for the Xbox Series X, sold only 22,000 copies.

The game comes two years late to the PlayStation 5 version and later to the PC version, and the lack of Game Pass undoubtedly hindered its expansion in light of its sudden release.
