
WifiInfoView is a small free utility that scans nearby wireless networks and displays a lot of useful information, such as the network name (SSID), MAC address, PHY type (802.11 g/n), signal strength and quality, frequency used, channel number, maximum speed, router model, presence or absence of a password, and much more.
The bottom panel of the main WifiInfoView window displays the received information, which is presented in hexadecimal format. There is also the ability to group detected wireless networks by channel number, router model, PHY type, or maximum speed.
Changes in version:
– Added ‘Black Background’ option (Under the View menu). When it’s turned on, the main window is displayed in black background and white text, instead of default system colors.
