The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) today announced that it will refund players who made unwanted Fortnite purchases, totaling $126 million, and reopens the process for players and parents to apply for compensation until July 9.
The Commission has previously described Epic Games’ practices in Fortnite as deceptive, and a settlement has already been announced between the two parties. However, the number of those affected and eligible for compensation continues to grow, and the compensation amount, which initially reached $72 million, could double before all settlements are paid.
