DFC Intelligence, based on a preliminary estimate, expects the Nintendo Switch 2 to sell 15 million units in the current fiscal year, meaning it will reach this figure within nine months of its release.
The center has now updated its forecast following the console’s strong launch, selling 3.5 million units in its first four days worldwide, raising its forecast to 16 million units sold by the end of the fiscal year. The center believes Nintendo is capable of selling 20 million units of the console in the coming months, but it expects Nintendo to maintain its existing inventory and not ship that large number.
