During a new interview with Chris Brock, executive producer of the action-shooter Borderlands 4, Brock stated that the fourth installment will represent a bigger leap forward for the series in terms of development and improvements than the third installment. This is because the third installment was released seven years after the second installment, and the development team wanted to provide a familiar experience for players.
Now, with the transition from the third to the fourth installment, the team wants to improve the experience and develop its various aspects on a broader scale than the team has done previously. The game is scheduled for release on PC and current-gen home consoles on September 12th.
