Techland studio confirmed that its upcoming game, Dying Light: The Beast, focuses on delivering a perfect experience in specific elements such as hand-to-hand combat and parkour, describing them as “the building blocks of the game” and not to be compromised. Director Timon Smektala explained that zombie reactions and weapon interactions have been fine-tuned to enhance the sense of realism and impact.
The team also emphasized the importance of accurately portraying the hero’s character, especially with the return of Kyle Crane, noting that any error in this regard “will be unforgivable to the audience.” The developers emphasized that The Beast represents a natural evolution of the series and serves as the unofficial third installment, with an anticipated launch on August 22, 2025, on next-gen consoles and PC.
