Zynga has announced the closure of Echtra Games, the developer behind the action-RPG Torchlight 3, which was working on a new, unannounced action-RPG planned for cross-platform play.
The layoffs affected at least 61 employees, and Zynga justified the team closure as a strategic reallocation of priorities and resources. The company will endeavor to assist affected employees as much as possible.
