Microsoft has been talking about its intention to enter the mobile device market for some time, with rumors of a third-party mobile device and another one developed by Microsoft itself. We’ve also heard reports that Microsoft has shelved its development plans and will only continue with the third-party version for now.
Following the unveiling of the ROG Xbox Ally, Tom Warren, a journalist close to the company, noted that the first-party mobile development plan has been canceled as the company focuses on Xbox as a digital platform, and that we could see multiple third-party Xboxes in the next generation from companies like ASUS.
