The co-op shooter Helldivers 2 has recently launched its massive Heart of Democracy update, leading to a surge in concurrent players. Following the update's release, the game hit an impressive 129,000 concurrent players within the past 24 hours.
Prior to the update, the PC version of Helldivers 2 maintained a concurrent player count ranging between 50,000 and 70,000, highlighting the substantial boost in engagement. While these numbers reflect PC players exclusively, there is no doubt that PlayStation 5 has also witnessed a significant increase in player activity.
