The Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth demo was released after the recent State of Play event, and Square Enix promised that the demo will receive an update that adds a new area, while retaining progress for the final version of the game.
The update is supposed to become available today at 3:00 KSA time, and this update adds new areas near the Junon region, adds new content, and improves the quality of graphics while playing in performance mode.
