Developer Riot Games has announced that competitive multiplayer shooter Valorant will get its first new weapon since the game was released four years ago. Dubbed the Outlaw, the new weapon is a double-barreled sniper powerful enough to kill enemies with two hits.
The Outlaw weapon is priced at 2400 points, making it a mid-level sniper rifle. The most powerful sniper rifle in the game is the Operator, which has a price of 4700 points and has the ability to kill targets with one shot. There is a Marshal’s weapon at a price of 950 points and much less power.
While its double-barreled design provides it with the unique ability to fire two shots in rapid succession, the Outlaw has a major drawback in that it needs to be reloaded after only two shots. The refeeding process also takes a long time.
Valorant’s new Outlaw weapon will arrive with the game’s next season in Episode 8 of Chapter 1, which is scheduled to arrive in the game on January 9.
