Final FantasY 7: Rebirth co-director, Mr. Motomu Toriyama, revealed to the Japanese website Game Life that the second part of the FF7 remake, called Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, will introduce new side characters in addition to the return of all the side characters from the original version that was launched in 1997.
