DaVinci Resolve 18 is the world’s first 8K-ready software product that lets you professional-grade video editing, color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects. For instant transition between different pages, one click of the mouse is enough.
In addition, DaVinci Resolve 18 Studio is the only application with collaborative tools so that editors, colorists, VFX specialists, and sound engineers can work simultaneously on the same project. DaVinci Resolve sets new standards for quality post-production, which is why it is used more often than any other system in the creation of feature films, television series and commercials.
DaVinci Resolve includes a Cut page that speeds up editing when completing tasks on a tight schedule. The DaVinci Neural Engine platform uses machine learning algorithms for Speed Warp and face recognition. It’s easy to apply filters and color schemes to single-tier clips, and projects can be quickly exported from the app to services like YouTube and Vimeo. Dedicated GPU-accelerated on-screen indicators provide even more options for checking image specifications. Additionally, Fusion effects were optimized and 3D audio was supported in the Fairlight block. As a result of the update, the system received hundreds of tools added based on the feedback received.
The Cut page is designed to work on short cycle material such as commercials or news releases. Here is concentrated a whole set of innovative tools for a significant optimization of installation. With their help, you can import and fit, add transitions and text, automatically align color and mix the audio track. Such functionality ensures that content is quickly prepared for display on television and services such as YouTube. In addition, if necessary, you can always switch to the familiar tools of the Edit section, even in the middle of the current project.

In addition, keyframes for ResolveFX effects can be viewed and edited using curves on the Edit and Color pages.
Legendary DaVinci Quality
DaVinci Resolve uses Emmy™ award-winning 32-bit precision processing technology, and the YRGB color space allows you to separate the Y-component from the red, green, and blue channels. This makes it possible to adjust the brightness settings without rebalancing the color in the highlights, midtones, and shadows. Such functionality provides full support for the latest formats with a wide dynamic range to create an original visual range.
Blackmagic RAW is a new state-of-the-art codec that delivers exceptional image quality and superior speed performance. Thanks to an improved debayerization algorithm and a completely different processing method, it retains all the advantages of RAW, but at the same time it is easier to handle and faster to use, and the files created with it do not exceed the size of a regular video.
Blackmagic RAW partially transfers debayerization from the software application to the camera itself, where this process is performed in hardware. Due to this redistribution of resources, compression becomes much more efficient, and video requires less space on the storage device. Blackmagic RAW is not just another format with the RAW extension, but a new hybrid codec that takes into account the peculiarities of the camera sensor. The resulting image, even at a high compression ratio, has excellent performance, giving you full control over a range of RAW parameters, including ISO, white balance, exposure, contrast, saturation, and custom color space.
Additionally, Blackmagic RAW offers comprehensive support for metadata and .sidecar files with customizable settings, CPU and GPU accelerated processing optimizations, the latest color rendering technology, and constant quality or bitrate encoding options.
Blackmagic RAW is suitable for shooting, editing and grading projects, while all operations are performed from a single file. Any changes to the camera settings are not only reflected in DaVinci Resolve as metadata, but are fully editable. After adjusting the RAW parameters in DaVinci Resolve, the resulting clip is easy to open for viewing and automatic use in other programs that recognize Blackmagic RAW. Due to this, a uniform visual range is achieved regardless of the application or platform used. All of this makes Blackmagic RAW the fastest RAW-based codec that delivers exceptional image quality.
